Uniform
School Uniform
For children attending Rothwell Victoria Infant School and Rothwell Junior School, we have a recommended school uniform. Nursery children are welcome to wear school uniform if they wish.
Children do not need to wear logo-branded uniform. Plain alternatives are available from most supermarkets and clothing retailers.
Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child's name.
Please note: Jeans are not permitted.
Main School Uniform
We ask that the PE t-shirt and school tie are purchased from Karl Sports. All other uniform items can be bought from any high street retailer or supermarket.
- Navy sweatshirt or cardigan
- White/Navy polo shirt (Nursery to Year 4)
- White blouse/shirt (Years 5 and 6)
- School tie (Years 5 and 6)
- Black or grey trousers
- Black or grey knee-length skirt, pinafore dress or shorts
- Navy and white gingham or striped summer dress
- Navy, black or grey tights (recommended during winter)
Footwear
- Plain black or dark-coloured school shoes
- No boots, trainers, Ugg-style boots or fashion footwear
- Closed-toe sandals may be worn in summer
- Wellington boots may be brought for wet weather playtimes
PE Kit
Indoor & Summer PE
- Navy PE t-shirt (school logo optional)
- Navy or plain black shorts
- Trainers
Outdoor & Winter PE
- Navy or dark-coloured tracksuit
- Trainers
Additional Clothing
- Warm outdoor coat (preferably with a hood)
- Waterproof raincoat
- Hat for cold weather if coat does not have a hood
Jewellery, Hair & Appearance
Early Years & Key Stage 1
- No jewellery or watches
- Stud earrings only
- Earrings must be removed by the child for PE
Key Stage 2
- A watch may be worn
- Stud earrings only
- Earrings must be removed for PE
Hair & Makeup
- No make-up or nail varnish
- No false nails
- No temporary tattoos
- No dyed or coloured hair
- Long hair should be tied back
- No body piercings
Swimming Kit (Key Stage 2)
- One-piece swimsuit or swimming trunks
- Swimming cap
- Towel
- Waterproof swim bag
Goggles may be worn with parental permission, although children will be asked to remove them when jumping into the pool.
Purchasing Uniform
Logo-branded items including sweatshirts, cardigans, PE t-shirts and ties can be purchased from Karlsports.
Pre-Loved Uniform
Rothwell Schools also offers a selection of pre-loved uniform. Items are available at selected school events or by contacting the school directly. Donations towards pre-loved uniform are welcome but not required.
